“Ishta Raagam” is a Malayalam musical romantic thriller film directed by Jayan Pothuval. It stars Akash Prakash, newcomer Aditya, and Kailash in lead roles. Other cast members include SP Sreekumar (Sreekumar Marimayam), Unni Raja, Vivek Viswam, Sreejith Kaiveli, Ambili, Sumithra Rajan, Venu Ambalapuzha, Arjun, Jalaja Rani, Raghunath Madiyan, and Jeeshin. The film is produced by Prakash Nair under the banner of Akash Prakash Music and Entertainment and ESSAR Films of Suresh Ramanthali. The screenplay and dialogues are by Chandran Ramanthali.
The cinematography is by GK Ravikumar, with Riju Nair as Chief Associate Director and Deepak Sankar and Shan as Assistant Directors. The film was shot in Iritty, Kanjirakolli, Wayanad, and Gundlupet.
The fifth character poster, featuring the character Jessy played by Lijitha, was released on 3rd July 2023, showcasing the strength of drama in Malayalam cinema.
The music for “Ishta Raagam” is composed by Vineesh Panikar with lyrics by Suresh Ramanthali. Singers include Vijay Yesudas, Sarath, Haritha Hareesh, Vadukiyamma, Dr. Aswathy Jayaraj, Anitha Vinod, and Sivapriya Suresh. Clint is the dance choreographer.
